Urethral Dilation
Urethral dilation is a procedure used to treat narrowing of the urethra that interferes with normal urine flow. In women, urethral narrowing can contribute to symptoms such as difficulty starting urination, weak urinary stream, incomplete bladder emptying, recurrent urinary tract infections, or bladder pressure.
At Advanced Urogynecology in Maitland, Florida, urethral dilation is performed selectively and only when clinical evaluation confirms that urethral narrowing is contributing to symptoms. Our goal is to improve bladder emptying, reduce urinary symptoms, and address underlying causes in a thoughtful, evidence-based manner.
Individualized Care for Voiding Dysfunction
Urethral dilation is one of several tools used to address urinary obstruction and voiding symptoms. Our practice focuses on accurate diagnosis, careful patient selection, and personalized treatment planning to achieve the best possible outcomes.
